If you are planning to go to the fair, today is the day. Heart opens for Def Leopard, crowning the State Fair Queen, and the Battle of the Butter Sculptures.

This year marks the 100th year of the Iowa Butter Cow. Although long-time Butter Sculpting Queen Norma Duffy Lyon passed away in June, we can rest assured that the tradition of dairy-based medium in the art world continues.
